Creator codes typically take 10% off at checkout, with 15% the highest category median
Across 186 percentage codes tested at checkout in 12 categories, the median discount is 10% in most and 15% in skincare, men's grooming and fitness.

The typical code
Pohex's software tested 186 percentage codes on 183 stores, and the overall median is 10%. The middle half of codes runs from 10% to 15%, so the 25th percentile and the median are the same figure. The measurements span 2026-08-28 to 2026-10-29.
The count is of codes, not stores, so a store with two measured codes appears twice. Amount-off codes are left out because a dollar figure cannot be compared across price points.
Where the median reaches 15%
Three categories have a median of 15%: Skincare & Beauty (n=21), Men's Grooming (n=11) and Fitness & Sports (n=5). In all of them the 25th percentile is 10%, so the higher median comes from the upper half of codes sitting higher, not from a higher floor.
The spread above the median differs. The 75th percentile is 20% in Skincare & Beauty and 17.5% in Men's Grooming. Fitness & Sports has a 75th percentile of 15%, and its median rests on only 5 codes, so it could shift with a few more measurements.
Everywhere else sits at 10%
Every other category has a median of 10%. Clothing & Apparel is the largest group at 51 codes, with a middle half running from 10% to 15%. More Stores (n=21) and Food & Drink (n=10) are the tightest, with both quartiles at 10%.
Some categories share a median but not a shape. Jewelry & Accessories has a median of 10% and a 75th percentile of 20% on 9 codes. Home & Living reaches 13.8% at the 75th percentile. Tech & Gadgets is the only category with a 25th percentile below 10%, at 8%.
What the numbers cannot say
The figures describe the codes that creators on this site hold, not every code in each category. Each store has one category, taken from its write-up, so a store that sells across categories is counted in one. Pet Supplies had fewer than 5 codes and was pooled into More Stores.
A further 134 measured percentage codes sit on stores without a write-up. They have no category and are left out, and if those stores differ from the rest, the category medians would move.
The measurement history begins on 2026-06-30, and 46 codes were measured once and never tested again. A single-item cart may also fall below a store's minimum for a larger tier, which would understate tiered codes. These results show what was measured, not why stores set the discounts they do.
Method
Question: What does a creator code typically take off at checkout in each store category?
Cohort: Every listed creator code with a percentage discount measured at checkout (data/resolved-discounts.json), on a store with a write-up that assigns it a category (data/store-content.json).
Denominator: Codes, not stores: a store with two measured codes counts twice. Amount-off codes are left out because a dollar figure is not comparable across price points.
Observation window: Measurements from the first to the newest checkout measurement in the cohort. In this edition: 2026-08-28 to 2026-10-29.
What is counted: For each category, the median and the interquartile range (25th to 75th percentile, linear interpolation) of the measured percentages.
Censoring: None: each code contributes its most recent measured percentage once.
Sampling: Categories with fewer than 5 codes are pooled into More Stores. Stores without a write-up have no category yet and are counted but left out.
Counts: 186 codes on 183 stores in 12 categories; pooled into More Stores for having fewer than 5 codes: Pet Supplies. 134 measured percentage codes sit on stores with no write-up yet and are left out.
Limits of the data
- The measurement history runs from 2026-06-30 to 2026-10-29; nothing before 2026-06-30 is on record.
- 46 codes were measured once and never tested again.
- 376 events across 210 codes carry the date their data file was committed rather than the date of the test (day precision at best).
- 134 measured percentage codes are on stores without a write-up and so have no category; if their stores differ from the rest, the category medians would move.
- The codes are the ones creators on this site hold, not a sample of every code in each category.
- Category comes from the store write-up, one category per store, so a store selling across categories is counted in one.
- A single-item cart may sit below a store's minimum for a larger tier, which would understate tiered codes.
